“KATA
KERJA BENTUK –ING”
A
verb with +ING (ING form) has some different functions.
1.
Have meaning “SEDANG”
together with auxiliary verb of “TO BE”. This form as a continuous tense.
Example:
-
You are studying English now.
-
Mother is cooking in the kitchen.
2.
As a “NOUN” which have
function as “SUBYEK” in sentences.
Example:
-
Swimming
is one of my hobbies.
-
The
testing continous for hours.
3.
As a “NOUN” which have
function as “OBYEK” in sentences.
Example:
-
Father likes smoking very much.
-
The workers must stop the digging.
4.
After preposition, have
function as a “NOUN” in “PREPOSITON GROUP”. This means that in a sentences, ing
form such as a preposition group.
Example:
-
My brother is very much
interested in engineering.

Bambang Oetoro is
famous for his batik paintings.
5.
Have function as “KATA
KEADAAN”, explains the noun.
Example:
-
There is a reading book and a writing paper on the writing
table in the sitting room.
-
One who drives a car
must have a driving licence and obey
the existing regulations.
6.
For beginning a
additional cluster.
Example:
-
Driving
along the road, we saw an accident happen in front of us.

While cooking the meal, mother listened to
the radio.
PRACTICE!
